This spiritual support group is designed to meet the unique needs of the wives and families of soldiers and civilians deployed overseas. This is NOT a Family Readiness Group (FRG).  Emotional. spiritual and physical needs are addressed in an atmosphere of God's love. Rank doesn't matter. Deployment zone doesn't matter. All that matter is these ladies are alone for an extended lenght of time due to deployment and they need help.

This group is limited to ladies, but not to wives. If you are a woman over the age of 18 with an immediate family member (son, daughter, father, mother) deployed away from the Central Texas Area, in the service of our country as a civilian or military person, you are welcome to join R.O.S.E.S.

Michell Anthony, the current facilitator, was a member of R.O.S.E.S. when her husband was deployed to Iraq the first time. She found so much strengh, support, love and fellowship among the R.O.S.E.S.; she just had to volunteer to facilitate this group when the previous facilitator left. Please contact Michelle here at the church 634-6990 or by email michelle.anthony@gracechristiancenter.com for more information.

This group meets on the last Sunday of the month from 6 - 8 pm for a Potluck Fellowship night here at the church. The ladies get to spend two hours in real adult conversation and relationship building activities. Childcare is also provided.

On Wednesday evenings after praise and worship, the ladies meet for a more learning/study focused evening. Topics of all sorts (including "Dealing with your "Alien" Husband) are discussed as well as encouragement to grow individually in the Lord during this separation. Currently they are going through the Bible Study "Personality Plus." and next will be "Woman, Thou Art Loosed".

The cement that holds this group together is PRAYER. Multitudes of wonderful testimonies come forth when these women get together and pray. For example, one time Michelle was praying with a wife for peace since she hadn't heard from her husband in a number of days. Michelleasked the Holy Spirit to touch the husband and remind him to call home. Within an hour after that prayer, the woman's husband called home, safe and sound. Many other testimonies include supernatural safety for the soldiers and civilians and how the just missed being injured from enemy fire. Coincidence? I think not, that's just the power of prayer.

The R.O.S.E.S. request that the entire congregaton keeps their families lifted up in prayer. It is best defensive and offensive weapon we have. It's the least we can do for these men and woman who are risking their lives on a daily basis so we can enjoy the freedoms we have here in the United States of America.

Ladies, we salute you. We send a heartfelt THANK YOU to you and your family for serving our country. God bless you all and God bless America.
