Charles Reid

Worship Pastor

Pastor (Rev.) Charles F. Reid, Jr., is an anointed music minister, keyboardist, and entrepreneur gifted by God.  He has always been able to sing in perfect pitch from a very young age. He is fourth generation musician. At the age of 13, he began to show interest in playing the organ and piano. At the age of 14, he became the minister of music at a small church in a more rural section of Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Pastor Charles calls this his “backside of the desert” experience, where God was training him for his destiny. There, Pastor Charles learned how to train choirs, and give God his all…whether there were no people, or hundreds of people, he learned to be faithful to God and his calling.  Pastor Charles has had training from such greats as the late Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Elder Ezekiel Williams, the late O’Landa Draper, Pastor John W. Stevenson, and various teachers of The International Worship Institute, under the leadership of LaMar Boschman.  Pastor Charles has served in the music ministry at several ministries in the Tidewater (Virginia) area as well as in Connecticut.  Not only is he a minister of music, but a minister of the Gospel for 13 years. Pastor Charles was licensed in the Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop Lewis E. Hines. Pastor Charles was ordained in 2003.  He has earned a Diploma of Practical Theology from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida. Pastor Charles was a student at Western Connecticut State University, majoring in Vocal Performance.  Pastor Charles is happily married for the past 16 years to the lovely Tramita H. Reid.  Together they have the inheritance of two sons Charles, III, and Zachariah, also musicians.  Pastor Charles’ motto for singing in the choir is, “If you can’t carry a tune in a bucket, I can use you in my choir…God needs your heart and I need your voice!” Pastor Charles’ life motto is “You are perfect for God’s purpose.”
